Basra: A suspension bridge collapsed in the Al-Risala neighborhood of Basra after a collision with a crane. The incident occurred between the Al-Jumhuri and Kut Al-Hajjaj intersections in the city center.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source from the Basra Civil Defense Directorate confirmed that no casualties were reported. Civil Defense rescue teams and municipal vehicles swiftly arrived at the scene to address the situation. Traffic police were also present to manage the affected area.

The source further noted that efforts are currently underway to remove the collapsed structure and reopen the road, which was obstructing traffic. The situation is being handled to ensure that normalcy returns to the area as soon as possible.
