Sweden: Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced his resignation today, Thursday, following the opposition’s victory in the parliamentary elections. Kristersson leads the center-right bloc that lost the parliamentary elections held on September 13.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, Kristersson wrote, “I request to resign of my duties as Prime Minister,” and published the text of the letter on his account on the “X” platform. Kristersson added that the election results could create difficult conditions for forming the next government, noting that various statements made by parties prior to the election “may pose obstacles for candidates for the premiership and for potential coalitions.”

Kristersson believes that negotiating with all parties is essential to create the necessary conditions for forming a stable and effective government.
