Damascus: Syria announced the arrest of those responsible for the bombings that coincided with French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit. Syrian Interior Minister Anas Khattab stated on Thursday that the cell responsible for the bombings in Damascus has been apprehended. He added that investigations are ongoing, and further details regarding the identities, roles, and connections of the cell members will be disclosed later.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the explosions took place last Tuesday near the Ministry of Tourism headquarters in Damascus. The blasts were caused by a series of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) strategically placed near a hotel where French President Emmanuel Macron was staying. The incident occurred during a significant diplomatic visit, raising concerns about security measures in place for international dignitaries visiting the region.
