Syrian Air Defenses Shot Down A Number Of Israeli Missiles Over Masyaf

Baghdad The Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria announced that the Syrian defenses had shot down two missiles and seven Israeli guided missiles, during the Israeli raid on Masyaf on Thursday.

A statement by the Deputy Director of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, Major General Oleg Yegorov, stated that between 19:16 and 19:30 on August 25, 4 Israeli F-16 fighters struck a scientific center with 4 cruise missiles and 16 guided missiles from the skies of the eastern Mediterranean, targeting a Syria Research Center in the city of Masyaf.

The statement confirmed that the Syrian air defenses shot down two missiles and seven guided missiles, using the Russian-made “Pantsir S1” and “S-75” systems.

It added that the Israeli raid resulted in damage to warehouses of equipment and special equipment for the Syrian Research Center.
