Damascus: Syrian Defense Minister General Ali Mahmoud Abbas has declared that the nation is currently engaged in a relentless and fierce battle against what he describes as the most brutal terrorist organizations. In a televised statement, General Abbas addressed the Syrian populace, emphasizing the ongoing struggle with these groups, which he claims employ gang-like tactics. This situation necessitates strategic maneuvers from the Syrian armed forces, including advances, retreats, and strategic withdrawals to certain points.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, General Abbas further elaborated that these “takfiri” organizations are allegedly supported by both regional and international entities, providing them with military and logistical aid. He urged the Syrian people to remain vigilant and maintain high morale in the face of these challenges.
