Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Release ISIS Terrorists from al-Shaddadi Prison

Baghdad: Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released ISIS terrorists from al-Shaddadi prison. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) announced today, Monday, that this release has prompted immediate action from Syrian military forces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Arab Army Operations Command reported that army forces have started to enter the city of al-Shaddadi, located south of al-Hasakah. This move comes after the SDF’s decision to release ISIS members from the prison, causing concerns over regional security. The military’s primary objective is to secure al-Shaddadi prison and its surroundings.

Army units have been tasked with combing the city of al-Shaddadi and its surrounding areas. The aim is to arrest the ISIS prisoners released by the SDF. The Syrian army is focusing on preventing any potential threats by these individuals who have been identified as ISIS members.
