Idlib: The Syrian Ministry of Health announced that the preliminary death toll from an explosion in the town of Maarat Misrin, located in the northern Idlib countryside, has reached 146 individuals, comprising both fatalities and injuries.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry reported that the explosion resulted in 6 deaths, with 140 individuals sustaining injuries. Official sources communicated these figures through the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The Syrian Civil Defense further elaborated on the situation, stating that rescue efforts are ongoing. "The death toll has reached 6 civilians, according to the preliminary toll. These are the bodies that teams have been able to recover so far," they reported, highlighting the challenging and hazardous conditions under which the search operations are being conducted.
Civil defense teams are actively engaged in evacuating the injured and extinguishing fires. Authorities have urged local residents to maintain a safe distance from the explosion site to ensure their safety.
