Syrian Government Comments on Developments in Aleppo: Kurds are an Indigenous Component and the SDF Violated the Agreement

Damascus: The Syrian government affirmed on Thursday that the Kurds are an integral component and a full partner in the nation. In a statement, it said, "The state has provided protection and services to displaced Kurds and Arabs to ensure their safe return," stressing that "the solution will not be achieved through the media or exchanging accusations, but rather through recourse to state institutions."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian government explained that "the current chaos stems from the Syrian Democratic Forces' (SDF) violation of the April 1 agreement," indicating that "the state is focused on securing the Aleppo perimeter, protecting civilians, and preventing escalation."

The Syrian government demanded the withdrawal of militias from the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods. It clarified that stability is linked to the return of the rule of law and institutions to preserve Syria's unity and the security of its citizens.
