Syrian president ahmed al-sharaa met on thursday with the head of the supreme judicial council:haraa met on Thursday with the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the judicial and legal fields.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Presidency issued a statement indicating that President Ahmed al-Sharaa welcomed Judge Faiq Zaidan and his delegation at the People’s Palace in Damascus. The meeting was also attended by the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad al-Shaibani, and the Minister of Justice, Mazhar al-Wais.

The statement highlighted that the discussions were centered on strengthening the judicial and legal cooperation. Additionally, they addressed several issues of common interest that could further solidify the bond between Syria and Iraq in these vital sectors.
