Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry affirmed: “Iran’s main demand in any negotiations is the lifting of sanctions.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated in a press briefing: “All the sanctions imposed on us were unjustified, and our main demand in any negotiations is the lifting of these illegal and unjust sanctions.” He emphasized that the location of the upcoming negotiations was determined at the suggestion of Oman with the consent of all parties, scheduling the technical meeting and negotiating session to be held on Saturday in Muscat.

The spokesman also noted that Iran is actively communicating with the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, as members of the nuclear agreement, consulting with them regarding the Muscat process and planning to continue this engagement. He highlighted that Russia and China are significant partners, fully informed of all the details of the negotiations with the United States.

Furthermore, Baghaei mentioned that Iran is conducting bilateral negotiations with Switzerland, acknowledging its positive role in the current nuclear negotiations with the United States.
