Tehran Warns Trump Over Kharg Island Threat

Tehran: Tehran responded to US President Donald Trump's threats to seize Kharg Island, vowing that "not a single American soldier will return home alive."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, stated on his "X" account: "Trump is talking again about occupying Kharg Island. We are waiting for you, and we promise you that not a single American soldier will return alive."

Trump had warned Iran that the United States might launch further strikes Wednesday night, and that US forces "could take over Kharg Island today." He emphasized this point by saying, "I will give you a simple warning: We will hit them hard tonight."

In a related development, during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Turkey, Trump suggested that his country might reimpose sanctions on Iran.
