Baghdad: Security forces arrested ten travelers, including five foreigners, in possession of narcotic substances.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior Spokesman Brigadier General Maqdad Miri stated that the arrests were part of the Border Forces Command’s ongoing efforts to prevent drug entry into the country. The operations were conducted at the Shalamcheh, Zurbatiyah, Al-Mundhiriyah, and Al-Shaib Customs Police Stations, all of which are affiliated with the Customs Police Directorate.

The spokesperson detailed that the apprehended individuals were found with various narcotic substances, including methadone, crystal meth, teriac, and marijuana. The arrested individuals, along with the confiscated drugs, have been referred to the judiciary for further legal action.
