DIYALA: In a concerted effort to clamp down on militant activities in the region, the Diyala Police Command has announced the arrest of a suspected terrorist accused of conducting attacks against security forces. The arrest is part of a broader initiative to apprehend individuals wanted for terrorism-related offenses. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diyala Police Command revealed that the arrest came under the directives of Major General Alaa Gharib Al-Zubaidi. The operation was executed by the Falcons Intelligence Cell, in collaboration with Diyala Police detachments, patrols, and a force from the Diyala Operations Command's Commando Brigade. The suspect was apprehended under Article 4 of Terrorism, which pertains to charges related to terrorist activities. The suspect is alleged to have been involved in numerous terrorist operations, targeting both security forces and civilians. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and the individual is currently detained, pending a judicial process to dete rmine his fate. The Diyala Police Command has emphasized its commitment to enforcing arrest warrants and ensuring that those involved in terrorist activities are held accountable.
