Anbar: Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) announced on Saturday the arrest of a terrorist in Anbar province. A statement from ICTS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that “the security forces affiliated with the agency carried out a security duty, which resulted in the arrest of one of the terrorists in Anbar province, after careful intelligence and field follow-up.”

According to Iraqi News Agency, the statement added: ‘In a separate operation in Anbar province, security forces carried out a field search and clearance operation that resulted in the discovery of a cache of ammunition left behind by ISIS terrorist gangs. It was dealt with and processed to prevent its use in any terrorist activity.’

The statement affirmed that “ICTS continues to carry out its proactive duties, relying on intelligence efforts and continuous monitoring, to pursue the remnants of terrorist elements and clear areas of their remnants, in order to enhance security and stability and preserve the safety of citizens.”
