Baghdad: A suspected terrorist was apprehended by the Directorate of Identities and Weapon Licenses at the Ministry of Interior while he was undergoing a routine check during his application process for a firearm license.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest occurred at the Directorate’s headquarters. The Directorate’s statement clarified that the suspect was detained after a review revealed his wanted status under Article (4) of the Anti-Terrorism Law. Following the discovery, all necessary legal actions were promptly initiated.
