Baghdad: The Arab Economic and Social Development Summit kicked off this afternoon in Baghdad, marking a significant event following a six-year hiatus. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam emphasized the importance of Arab construction and cooperation to achieve economic prosperity during the summit’s opening.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iraq has assumed the presidency of the Arab Development Summit from Lebanon. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received this responsibility from his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam, highlighting a renewed focus on regional development and collaboration.
