An inmate in Hilla large prison died as a result of illness complications.

A source in the prison said: "The inmate is from Mosul, and he is sentenced to life imprisonment in accordance with Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law. He died in the prison's health center as a result of complications from tuberculosis.

He added: "The police transferred the body to the forensic medicine office, and an investigation was opened into the accident."
