Baghdad: The US dollar exchange rate experienced a rise on Wednesday afternoon in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil, coinciding with the closing of the local stock exchanges.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the selling price of the dollar saw an increase on Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges, reaching 141,750 dinars per $100, up from 141,600 dinars per $100 earlier in the day.
In the local exchange offices and markets across Baghdad, the exchange rate reflected this trend, with the selling price climbing to 142,750 dinars per $100, while the buying price settled at 140,750 dinars per $100.
A similar upward movement was recorded in Erbil, where the dollar’s selling price reached 141,550 dinars per $100 and the buying price was 141,450 dinars per $100.
