The Egyptian Ambassador Commends Iraqi Diplomacy for Calming Regional Tensions


Baghdad: The National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji welcomed the Egyptian Ambassador to Baghdad, Ahmed Samir, in his office on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed significant developments in the region, with a particular focus on the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip attributed to the Zionist entity.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Egyptian ambassador expressed admiration for the Iraqi government’s effective policies and its diplomatic efforts to mitigate regional tensions. He highlighted how Iraqi diplomacy has been instrumental in maintaining calm and preventing further escalation. Furthermore, he acknowledged the Iraqi security services for their role in safeguarding embassies and diplomatic missions within the country.



The ambassador also recognized Iraq’s contribution in hosting and facilitating the recent Arab Summit in Baghdad, praising the outcomes of the summit and Iraq’s commitment to regional cooperation.



In response, National Security Advisor Al-Araji emphasized the strong coordination between Iraq and Egypt, underscored by the leadership of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and President Sisi. He reiterated Iraq’s dedication to addressing regional conflicts through diplomatic means and political dialogue, as opposed to military interventions.
