Baghdad Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein stressed the importance of respecting the country’s sovereignty by neighboring countries, strengthening the relevant principles of this, and following diplomatic channels to face challenges and resolve crises.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “Minister Fouad Hussein received a phone call from his German counterpart, Analana Perbuk, during which bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening them were discussed to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.”

The Minister pointed to the artillery and missile shelling that Iran has carried out on some sites inside Iraqi territory in the past few days, calling for the necessity of stopping such violations from the Iranian side, indicating that it violates international covenants and laws.
