Karbala: Karbala Governor Nassif al-Khattabi stated that the delay in the arrival of the body of the martyred Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday evening was due to the large crowds, tribes, and clans gathering along the route between Najaf and Karbala to receive the coffin.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is preparing to receive the body of the martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The route between Najaf and Karbala was heavily populated with mourners, causing the delay.
