Karbala: The Governor of the Holy City of Karbala, Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, welcomed Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, the Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council in Lebanon, at the Governorate headquarters. The meeting aimed at fostering mutual relations and understanding between the two communities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, both leaders discussed topics of mutual interest, focusing on the significance of enhancing communication and fraternal ties between the Iraqi and Lebanese populations. They highlighted the vital role of Karbala as a religious and humanitarian hub, attracting millions of pilgrims globally.

The discussions also touched upon the ongoing efforts by the Karbala Governorate to accommodate and serve the influx of pilgrims, ensuring that services during major pilgrimages are continuously improved and effectively managed.
