The Head of the Supreme Judicial Council forms a body to investigate the events on Friday

Baghdad The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zaidan, decided to form an investigative committee to investigate the events that accompanied the demonstrations on 11/5/2021.

The committee had been ordered to be formed based on the provisions of Article (35) of the Judicial Organization Law No. (160) of 1979 and Article (3/ninth) of the Law of the Supreme Judicial Council No. 45 of 2017.

It consists of the head of the Baghdad Rusafa Federal Appeal Court, the deputy head of the Baghdad Rusafa Federal Appeal Court, the judge of the Central Investigation Court, and the representative of the Public Prosecution.

The committee called on all those affected by these events, or those who have information about the investigation, to go to the Rusafa Court of Appeal to submit their complaints and information related to that incident. The authority has the right to take the appropriate decisions in this regard.
