Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, represented by Kadhem Taklif Al-Mousawi from the Syndicate Council, took part in a seminar hosted by the Iraqi Cultural Media Center entitled “Professional Journalism Ethics: Between Professionalism and Social Media Violations.” This event was held at the Kurdish Culture and Publishing House Hall in Baghdad.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the seminar was presented by Jabbar Tarad Al-Shammari, a writer and journalist who is also a member of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Council. The session was moderated by journalist Hadi Jalo Marai. Discussions during the seminar focused on the ethics of journalism, contrasting the professionalism of traditional media with the unregulated practices often seen on social media platforms.
Al-Moussawi highlighted the significance that the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate places on supporting initiatives aimed at promoting journalistic professionalism and ethical standards in media work. He stressed the importance of journalists upholding credibility and contributing to responsible media discourse.
The event drew the participation of numerous media professionals, journalists, and figures from the cultural and literary fields.
