Najaf: The Governor of Najaf, Yousef Kanawi, received in his office the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Akira ENDO. During the meeting, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides were discussed, particularly in the areas of digital transformation and modern technology.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Japanese Ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to support Najaf’s efforts in the field of digital transformation. This support could include cooperation in developing electronic payment systems, modernizing communications infrastructure, and providing training programs for local cadres in Najaf.

The Governor affirmed the local government’s keenness to develop the digital infrastructure in the governorate. He highlighted the importance of benefiting from Japanese expertise in e-governance and modernizing public services through modern technologies.
