The Joint Operations Command to /NINA/: Continued cooperation with the Kurdistan Regional forces, especially in areas of common security interest

Baghdad, The Joint Operations Command confirmed the continuation of qualitative operations and joint cooperation with the Kurdistan Region Forces, especially in areas of common security interest.

The Spokesman for the Command, Major General Tahsin Al-Khafaji, told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “There is a great deal of work in this field. We have two brigades that have been formed, and they will be deployed in the separating areas between the federal forces and the regional forces, to carry out joint security operations.”

Al-Khafaji stressed: “The joint operations between the federal forces and the Peshmerga forces are still continuing against terrorism, and on the border with Turkey to pursue smugglers, pursue terrorist organizations, exchange intelligence information, and jointly combat terrorism.

He pointed out: “What has been planned in terms of the work strategy in the Joint Operations Command in cooperation and coordination with the Peshmerga forces in all fields, has been accomplished for a while and continues until now, with a very good job.”
