The Mayor of Baghdad Inaugurates New Wastewater Treatment Units in Rustamiya


Baghdad: Mayor Ammar Musa Kadhim inaugurated a project to install seven new wastewater treatment units in Rustamiya. The new units have a design capacity of 105,000 cubic meters per day and aim to enhance the city’s treatment system to meet the growing needs of the capital.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the project is part of the Baghdad Municipality’s strategy to convert plans and studies into tangible projects. These developments are expected to contribute to environmental protection, pollution reduction, and the preservation of water resources, including the Tigris River.
