The Minister of Foreign Affairs stresses to the Undersecretary of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs the importance of strengthening joint cooperation in various sectors

Baghdad / NINA /- The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, received the Dutch Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcel De Fink, today, Tuesday, at the Ministry’s building in Baghdad.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the Minister thanked the Dutch side for cooperation in the field of training Iraqi diplomatic cadres and supporting Iraq in various fields, pointing to the importance of activating and strengthening joint cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, tourism, climate change, education and water management.

The Minister also stressed the presence of the President of the Republic with a high-level delegation to the Water Summit sponsored by the Netherlands next March in New York, due to the importance and priority of this important file for Iraq.

The Minister referred to Iraq’s keenness to achieve stability and balance in the region, balance and establish the best relations with countries in accordance with common reconciliation.

For his part, the Dutch Under-Secretary stressed the depth of bilateral relations with Iraq and the keenness to enhance cooperation and establish the best joint relations, pointing to the importance of strengthening cooperation in various fields according to joint plans and committees to be agreed upon, praising Iraq’s role in bringing the views of different parties from countries of the region closer together, and the achievement of security and political stability, welcoming the recent diplomatic initiatives of Iraq and restoring its leading role in the region./ End
