Baghdad / NINA / – The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, discussed with the Swedish Ambassador to Iraq, Jessica Svardstrom, the strengthening of bilateral relations and the development of bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
A statement by the Ministry of Labor stated, “The Minister of Labor met the Swedish Ambassador today and assured her of the gratitude of the Iraqi government and people to the Kingdom of Sweden for its supportive stances to Iraq.
Al-Asadi pointed out the importance of “Sweden’s support for the Ministry’s work and the categories and segments it deals with, with regard to social protection and people with special needs, through the establishment of training programs for the segments that need training and integrating them into the labor market.”
At the end of the meeting, the Swedish Ambassador praised the efforts made by the Minister in assisting the beneficiaries of the ministry’s services, wishing him success in his duties./ End
