The Minister of Planning discusses with the Ambassadors of India and Turkey the strengthening of joint cooperation

Baghdad Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Planning Muhammad Ali Tamim discussed today, Monday, with the Ambassadors of India and Turkey, the development of bilateral relations between Iraq and their countries.

The Ministry said in a statement: “The Minister of Planning met separately with the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, Prashant Besai, and the Turkish Ambassador, Alireza Konai, indicating that the two meetings witnessed a discussion of a number of files and issues of common interest, especially those related to them, to develop bilateral relations in the economic, commercial and investment fields, in a way that contributes to strengthening cooperation and supporting development issues in Iraq.

It added: “The two Ambassadors expressed their countries’ desire to increase the level of cooperation with Iraq, and to provide all possible types of support to the Iraqi government.”

The Minister of Planning stressed: “The directions and policy of the current government are based on strengthening and developing foreign relations based on common interests with neighboring countries and friendly countries.”
