Baghdad: The National Security Council held its twelfth session of 2025 today, chaired by National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji, with the attendance of council members.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council discussed the topics on its agenda and made the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding them. The discussions included a memorandum of understanding between the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland concerning strategic bilateral defense relations.

The Council also addressed security issues related to enhancing security and maintaining stability in the country, making the necessary decisions regarding these concerns.
