Baghdad: The National Security Council held its session, chaired by National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji. The council convened to address several pressing issues and to make critical decisions regarding national security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the council discussed, in its seventh session of 2025, a number of memoranda of understanding and took the necessary decisions regarding them. The meetings focused on evaluating current security strategies and implementing measures that align with national interests.
