The National Security Service Arrests Nine Individuals Accused of Drug Trafficking in Baghdad and Basra

Baghdad: The National Security Service announced the arrest of nine individuals accused of drug trafficking in Baghdad and Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated that, as part of its ongoing efforts to pursue drug trafficking networks, it conducted two targeted security operations in Baghdad and Basra, based on precise intelligence information. The Service explained that, after obtaining judicial approvals, the raids were carried out, resulting in the arrest of nine suspects, the seizure of one kilogram of narcotics, approximately 1,000 narcotic pills, and a firearm.
