The Iraqi Ambassador to Kuwait, Al-Manhal Al-Safi, said, in a statement to the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas, that “the joint Iraqi-Kuwaiti technical committee held its sixth meeting to continue the joint dialogue in the technical and legal aspects of demarcating the maritime borders beyond the mark (162), in a positive, fraternal atmosphere, and joint files were discussed, related to the committee’s work with full transparency and clarity,” revealing that “the next meeting will take place in Baghdad after two months, as agreed upon.”

The Kuwaiti-Iraqi Joint Technical Committee held its sixth meeting today, and the Kuwaiti side was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Mansour Al-Otaibi, while the Iraqi side was headed by Othman Al-Aboudi.

The meeting included the continuation of the joint dialogue in the technical and legal aspects of the demarcation of the maritime borders beyond the 162nd mark, and the two parties agreed to continue the constructive dialogue between the two sides within the framework of strengthening the brotherly relations that bind the two brotherly countries.
