The Popular Mobilization begins implementing proactive security operations ahead of the Arbaeen visit

Baghdad Forces from the Middle Euphrates Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization began, on Wednesday, to implement proactive security operations ahead of the Arbaeen visit.

The Commander of operations, Sajjad al-Asadi, said, according to a statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority, that “the aim of the operations that are carried out along the sector of responsibility of the Middle Euphrates Command, from the Baghdad wall in the north towards Alexandria and Musayyab in the south, and the line linking Karbala to Baghdad in the east towards the Euphrates River in contact with the operations of the island in the Popular Mobilization Authority, aims to inspect and survey the entire area.”

He added that “the operations will continue for more than 20 days and will be in all areas within the responsibility sector in northern Babylon, northern Karbala and western Karbala towards the Najaf desert, the aim of which is to secure each responsibility sector.”
