Kirkuk: The Popular Mobilization Forces announced the arrest of drug dealers and cyber extortionists in Kirkuk. The operation was conducted by a force from the 63rd Brigade of the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command, targeting suspects in the Al-Musalla area of Kirkuk Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was meticulously planned based on precise intelligence and continuous field monitoring. The force successfully set up an ambush that led to the arrest of two individuals suspected of drug dealing. During the operation, narcotics were seized from the suspects.

Further investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were also involved in cyber extortion activities. A comprehensive search of their phones showed evidence of their involvement in extorting citizens through social media platforms.
