Kirkuk: Forces of the 61st Brigade of the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces have successfully arrested a collaborator with the terrorist organization ISIS, located west of Kirkuk Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was executed following intelligence information that led to the capture of the accused individual. During the initial investigations, the suspect confessed to maintaining communication with ISIS members and being involved in promoting the ideology of the dissolved Baath Party. The information further reveals that the suspect’s father is allegedly holding a leadership position within the terrorist organization.

The statement also mentioned that the accused has been handed over to the competent authorities. They will be responsible for completing the investigation and taking necessary legal measures against the individual.
