Baghdad, The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met a delegation from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement, “The president welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing Iraq’s pride in the historical relations with Armenia, which witnessed a constructive and fruitful cooperation process, whether at the bilateral or international levels.”

Rashid expressed his aspiration to strengthen these relations by increasing the rates of trade and economic exchange in addition to the cultural aspect, in line with the level of distinguished relations between the two friendly countries.

For their part, the members of the delegation conveyed the greetings of the Armenian President to President Rashid, praising Iraq’s efforts to consolidate bridges of friendship and dialogue with the Republic of Armenia, stressing their country’s keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with Iraq at various levels.
