Baghdad President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, at his residence in Sharm El-Sheikh, Tunisian Prime Minister Najla Boden, on the sidelines of the COP 27 World Climate Summit.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister offered her congratulations and the congratulations of Tunisian President Kais Saied to the president on his election, wishing him success in his work, and the Iraqi people progress and prosperity.

The President of the Republic appreciated the congratulations of the Tunisian President and Prime Minister, expressing Iraq’s desire to consolidate bilateral relations, expand horizons of constructive cooperation and exchange experiences in the fields of education, tourism, environment and others, in the interest of both countries.

The Prime Minister affirmed her country’s interest in strengthening the existing relations between the two countries and promoting ways to advance them.

The meeting was attended by a number of ministers and officials from the Iraqi and Tunisian delegations.
