Baghdad The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met today, Saturday, with former Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated, “The former Prime Minister congratulated Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on the occasion of assuming the position of President of the Republic, wishing him success in performing his duties.”

The President of the Republic “expressed his thanks to Abdul-Mahdi for his congratulations and wishes, stressing that Iraq needs everyone to make efforts and unify them on the road to building and providing services to all the people.”
