Nice: The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, highlighted the significant challenge Iraq faces due to the diminishing waters of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Speaking at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France, President Rashid underscored the severe decline in water flow from upstream countries, which poses a substantial threat to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid emphasized the importance of developing effective solutions to tackle the environmental challenges exacerbated by the water crisis. He urged for radical measures to address the impacts of climate change, which have further complicated the situation.
