Baghdad: The Sadiqun and Babylon parliamentary blocs confirmed on Friday their attendance at the session to elect the president of the republic. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Sadiqun bloc, led by MP Uday Awad al-Tamimi, has affirmed its commitment to attending the session, reinforcing its position and seriousness in proceeding with this constitutional process. The bloc emphasized its dedication to this approach, stating it would be among the first to attend. Furthermore, it called on all political forces to prioritize the country's interests and proceed with completing the constitutional requirements without obstruction. In a similar statement, the Babylon parliamentary bloc expressed that its full presence at Saturday's session is not just a formality but a national pledge and responsibility. The bloc emphasized that a state cannot be built through absence and that obligations should not be delayed. It highlighted the importance of protecting the nation through actions and not just words.
