Baghdad: The Government Palace in Baghdad hosted a periodic meeting of the State Administration Coalition this evening, Sunday, attended by President Abdul Latif Rashid, Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani, and its leaders (Maliki, Amiri, and Hakim), as well as Mohammed al-Halbousi, Bafel Talabani, Muthanna al-Samarrai, Thabit al-Abbasi, Humam Hamoudi, Qais al-Khazali, Ahmed al-Asadi, and Fuad Hussein, representing the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani. The meeting addressed completing constitutional requirements, finalizing the session for electing the President of the Republic, and nominating a candidate for the position of Prime Minister.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on crucial political processes necessary for the stability and governance of the nation. The leaders deliberated on the steps required to fulfill constitutional mandates, highlighting the importance of electing a President of the Republic in an upcoming session.
The coalition also evaluated potential candidates for the Prime Minister position, aiming to solidify leadership roles within the government.
