Baghdad: The State of Law Coalition has made the decision to expel Haider Mohan, a member of the Baghdad Provincial Council, for violating internal regulations. This move comes amidst a backdrop of political tension and leadership changes within the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Baghdad Provincial Council dismissed Governor Abdul Muttalib al-Alawi and subsequently voted to appoint Haider Mohan as the new governor of the capital. This decision, however, did not sit well with the State of Law Coalition, which has voiced its disapproval of the governor’s dismissal.

The coalition released a statement expressing its absolute rejection of any changes to the governorship that are not officially sanctioned by the State of Law Coalition. The statement emphasized the importance of adhering to central directives and underscored that parliamentary and local leadership should be recognized as the official channels for such directives. The coalition further affirmed that any political actions or statements should be coordinated with them to maintain internal coherence and unity.
