The Turkish Minister of Health announces that his country is free of the “Omicron” mutant

Istanbul Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, announced that Turkey is free of the new Corona mutant, and that no infection with this mutant known as “Omicron” has been recorded.

The Turkish Minister of Health said in a tweet that his Ministry is closely following the new mutations that have recently appeared in a number of countries in the world, noting that the most common one in Turkey is “delta”.

It is noteworthy that last Thursday, Turkey started using the fourth dose of the vaccine for the elderly, while the total doses of vaccines used until Sunday rose to 120 million and 58 thousand and 425 with its three doses and included ages from 18 years up to the number of Turkey’s population of 85 million people and residents whose number is 15 million people
