The Turkish MoD announces the killing of the sixth Turkish soldier in less than 24 hours in clashes with the PKK in northern Iraq

Istanbul The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that the sixth Turkish soldier was killed in less than 24 hours, in clashes with militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the areas of Operations / Claw Lock / northern Iraq.

The Turkish Defense Ministry stated in a statement today, Sunday, that a soldier, was wounded in clashes with militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) yesterday in the area of Operation Claw Lock in northern Iraq, and after he was transferred to a hospital affiliated with the Turkish army, he died there as a result of his severe injuries.

The Turkish defense ministry had announced earlier yesterday, in two separate statements, that five Turkish soldiers had been killed in clashes with armed groups of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the area of operations in northern Iraq.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish defense had announced earlier that six officers and 43 soldiers had been killed in its operations against the PKK militants in northern Iraq, bringing what the Turkish Defense officially announced in terms of the losses of the Turkish army in the operations of what it called / lock claw / the killing of six officers and 44 soldiers and wounding 32 others since it began its operations on the eighteenth of last April.
