The Turkish MoD announces the killing of three PKK militants in northern Iraq

Istanbul, The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of three PKK militants (PKK) as part of the ongoing “Claw Lock” operation in northern Iraq.

The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement today, Saturday, that units of the Turkish army in charge of Operation the Claw Lock monitored the movements of Kurdish militants in the areas of Hakurk, taking advantage of the bad weather, and launched armed operations during which they managed to kill three PKK militants in northern Iraq.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish army carried out a large-scale military operation on April 18, and it is still ongoing, against the strongholds of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the regions of Matina, Zab, Afshin and Bazian in northern Iraq.
