Hillah: Two people were killed and eleven others were injured when the car they were riding in overturned on the highway linking Babylon and Basra, near the Shomali district. Director of Media for the Babylon Traffic Police, Brigadier General Zaher Mohammed, confirmed the incident.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Zaher Mohammed stated, “Two people died and eleven others were injured when the car they were riding in overturned on the highway linking Babylon and Basra, near the Shomali district, south of Hillah, on Friday.” He further explained that the injured were transferred to the Hillah Surgical Hospital for treatment.

The police have initiated an investigation to determine the causes of the accident, as efforts continue to understand the circumstances leading to the tragic event.
