Three Million Mourners Attend Sayyid Ali Khamenei’s Funeral in Najaf

Najaf: Three million people attended the funeral of Sayyid Ali Khamenei in Najaf, as announced by Lieutenant General Saad Maan, the official spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for the Funeral Procession of Martyr Sayyid Ali Khamenei. The massive turnout took place today in the holy city, marking a significant event that drew participants from various locations.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General Saad Maan stated that the Supreme Security Committee for the funeral procession was actively overseeing the event on the ground in Karbala. The procession was set to begin at Sayyid Jawda Square and make its way towards the two holy shrines, ensuring a secure and organized tribute to the revered figure.

The lieutenant general further elaborated that field monitoring, media reports, and estimated figures indicated that approximately three million mourners participated in the procession. The attendees were spread from the Sadrin Bridge to the courtyard of Fatima, within the shrine itself, along side streets, and other gathering points, culminating at Khan al-Nass in the al-Haydariya district.
