Baghdad: The Tourism Authority holds a meeting with provincial department directors to discuss the operational mechanism of the unified digital platform. The Chairman of the Tourism Authority, Engineer Nasser Ghanem Murad, led the meeting with directors of tourism departments across various governorates. The gathering included the presence of the Automation Committee, the Tourism Information Technology Center, and was conducted in collaboration with the Coordination and Follow-up Department, the Tourism Training and Development Department, and the company responsible for implementing the Authority's automation project, SASandHA.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on the operational mechanism of the newly launched unified electronic platform, intended to span all Iraqi governorates. Discussions encompassed the procedures for electronic implementation, mechanisms for processing internal mail, and the facilitation of citizen transactions efficiently. These steps aim to simplify procedures and enhance performance efficiency across the board.
The Chairman highlighted the significance of ongoing coordination with tourism departments in the governorates to ensure the platform's successful application. He announced that the upcoming phase would see an increase in training courses to better equip staff and improve their proficiency in using digital systems.
Furthermore, he underscored the necessity for all tourism entities to utilize the unified platform, emphasizing its role in streamlining operations, saving time and effort, and promoting transparency in transaction completion. This initiative aligns with the government's push towards a comprehensive digital transformation.
